Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
and I with Your glory all the day.
But I will hope continually,
And will praise You yet more and more.

This photo was taken today. This was the second day that I got to do Kangaroo care with Miss Clara. She did better today and kept her O2 up in the high 90s. She was very alert in the beginning, with her eyes wide open. This was taken by her nurse after she got her situated with all her accessories. Eventually she fell asleep. I was able to hold her 1 1/2 hours. Longest time yet.
Clara is up to 875 grams, almost 1 pound 15 ounces. Her vents are still at very low settings. The doctor came around and explained she would be out of her isolation room and back into the POD with all the other babies. Since RSV season is on the way, they save those isolation rooms for babies that will get RSV.
We also heard that they will try and extubate her again this Friday on a bubble CPAP, and then she will be moved. I am praying like crazy it works. They are very optimistic because she has gained weight and is bigger, and is having minimal support with vent. This will be the third time they have done this. We are hopeful!
These photos were taken yesterday. Doesn't she look like a doll baby, literally, laying there? This is what is looks like with the isolette up. They just finished putting her back inside after having kangaroo care with me.
Clara's first wink! Hopefully on Friday those huge tubes going to her mouth will be out, and she will have on a bubble CPAP. Which looks like an outer space head piece.
My dad took these photos yesterday. She destated a lot, this day but we were able to make it an hour. I changed her diaper, did her temp twice this day. LOTS of Clara time.
And......I fell asleep. Most relaxed I have been in a long time.
