These are a few photos taken then first four days. This name plate and foot print paper was made by a nurse in the NICU. It hangs above her isolette, as well as the post it that Kelly and Jon left.
Sleeping baby
Team of amazing Doctors that visited me every morning around 8 am. the doctor on far left was the first to see me Friday morning and saw me everyday up until a few hours before I left the hospital.
This was the first photo I remember seeing of Clara. I could not see her until a day later because I was on magnesium. Jason took photos and video and would show them to me.
This is a picture of Jason swabbing her mouth with a Q tip of breast milk.
Clara has been on the Billy light a lot. This is her little mask she would support when it was on.
Tuesday night Clara had an episode that proved to be our first scare. She had her first blood transfusion. It was a long night as I waited outside her POD while several worked on her. The doctors and nurse practitioners told us from day one this would be a roller coaster ride. I reminded myself that that entire evening. Jason was at home with Madeline when it happened, and I know it was so hard for him to sit and wait by the phone. Wednesday she was better and had a calm day. They treated her heart rate drop and blood pressure issue to a possible infection, but they really thought it was from a tiny mucas blockage in her breathing tube. Praise! No major issue.
