Trust me and refuse to worry....

Clara Elyse Murphy, day of life 13

This was my devotion today in the  book "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young. I thought I would share:
"TRUST ME and REFUSE TO WORRY,
for I am your strength and song. You are feeling wobbly this morning, looking at difficult times looming ahead, measuring them against your own strength. However, they are not today's tasks-or even tomorrow's. So leave them in the future and come home to the present, where you will find me waiting for you. Since I am your strength, I can empower you to handle each task as it comes. Because I am your song, I can give you joy as you work alongside me."

This so applicable to any situation in our lives. For me when I tend to look ahead and worry about the future I do get wobbly, unsure and scared. I always have, because there are just somethings that we can not control.
Lately I have had to totally take each day as it comes. A couple of days ago I looked to far and got very discouraged and scared. So I must find my strength in each moment of each day, because as I read today that is where God is waiting for me. Still so hard to do.
Nurse Shannon getting Clara ready for kangaroo care with Jason. he got to hold her for one hour.

Me Me and Pop, Aunt Doggett and Aunt Doo came to visit Clara today. I sneaked in for this picture of Aunt Doggett and Jason, but missed Anita. I'll get one next time. Sundays are a great time for visitors, because the hospital isn't as crowded.

  • Clara has gained 10 grams. She is up to 560
  • 10mls of milk with calories added
  • Possibly this week maybe try and take vent out. A new doctor is coming in for their three week rotation. So we will see what she wants to do. I am not sure Clara is strong enough to breathe with a CPAP, but it something they need to try.
  • She will start caffeine tomorrow. The most common medicine for apnea of prematurity. It is very effective at stimulating respiration. It has lots of other positive effects as well.
We've had to two great dinners this weekend. Thanks to our Sunday School friends Jenn and Matt and Len and Kelly. Food was amazing!!! Also I had a super cute hand print banner hanging on my front door when we get home from my Sunday School 3 yr old class. Thanks Blake for that! Made my day!
