I did forget to mention in my last post that Clara is continuing to gain weight. She now at 1460 grams 3 lbs and 3 ounces. Today that actually increased her milk to 25 mls with her 30 calories for fortifier. So we still know she likes to eat, :) 

The nurse practitioners did say that she sounds better when they listened to her, and they were at times able to get her oxygen down below 50%. Her usual before this was 30-40%. This past weekend it is was at the most 70%. Of course her other settings are up as well, her PEEP, PIP and RR. 

During her examination today they thought she was back to acting her usual bright eyed, active self. And also she has had no brady cardiac events like she had yesterday. 

As I said we are hoping to see some improvements, and praying this was all from an infection. Our Dr. who has been with us now for two weeks, has not been very encouraging so we are going to ask for a second opinion on our options. 

Please specifically pray for Clara to improve in the next couple of days, and also pray for strength and a clear mind for me. I have been very emotional, which has made it hard for me to listen and communicate at the hospital, and really do anything at all.  Please also pray for Jason as he has been with me nonstop this week, and has had to deal with all this, take care of Madeline and especially me. I know I couldn't go through this with any one else. He has been my rock since I went to the hospital September 6th. How hard this must be for him.

We often wonder why this happened to us. That in a short course of a marriage, we have been so deeply blessed but have also been through so much together, this being the most painful. As much as it feels now that God has left us, I know that he hasn't and that he loves us and will take care of us.
