Christmas has exploded all over our house. With the help of my brother and sister in law we are officially decorated. All that is left is to do some Christmas shopping and Maddie's 7th Birthday party. I wanted to post something that I read today, that really just blessed me. Let me explain why.
It has been two weeks since Clara's diagnosis. I have been all over the place, with the way that I feel.
I think the word scared, just sums it best. A few days I am okay, just really sure of everything and the next just scared about what this means for her and for us. Scared that I am not going to be enough for her.
Then I read this article and listened to it on Focus on the Family. The link and more about this family is in the link below
"My husband, Kevin, and I didn't know exactly what Ty was capable of at the time, but we knew he deserved to realize his full potential. Today, who he is and what he has accomplished are more than we could have ever imagined." Lisa Sexton
Sometimes, in the midst of difficult circumstances, it's not easy to trust God. But He is faithful to show us that we can trust Him in every circumstance - and that through Jesus, all things are possible.
That's part of the reason why the Sextons story is so encouraging. Lisa offers a dose of hope to those walking through challenging times: http://goo.gl/CbD3Nx"
She goes on to write about how they made a simple decision to focus on his abilities and not his disabilities.
Such a great article, and a place to start for me.
Another example on how God just meets us each day!
