Clara just loves to hear certain songs. Old McDonald can turn her fussy self into all smiles. This is a video taken the other day.
Clara now weighs 14 pounds and getting long! We are now trying just a little rice cereal and fruit, twice a day. Developmentally she still isn't quite ready for more solids, as she is really like a 3 or 4 month old when she eats. But I just know eventually she will get the hang of it. Feeding issues are so common in preemies. I am just so happy we can move forward with something.
Her next broncoscopy will be October 9th, with possibly an eye surgery attached. So will need continued prayers with those.
She had an ultra sound this past week to monitor her bladder and kidneys, which they found have improved since the NICU but she needs to be followed by a Nephrologist until she is two because there is still signs of granulation in her kidneys. So another doctor at Chapel Hill to add to the bunch. They all are amazing, so if we have to be somewhere I am so glad it is there.
Madeline starts soccer this weekend, and I go back to school this Friday. I have lots of anxiety about this. Just please remember us prayerfully in the upcoming weeks as I adjust back and Madeline as well.
Clara has wonderful care at home, and I literally work 8/10ths a mile from home, however so much of me wants to be home at least part time. However as I have always known God has a plan for me, so I trust he will provide that.
Have a great day!
