Christmas is over!

Christmas here came and went. Everything has been packed away and we are ready to move on. Clara started throwing up Christmas Eve and felt yucky Christmas Day. The photo above was taken after we came home from the Christmas Eve service at church. I remember thinking how good everything was going to be. Everything had been done, organized, wrapped, grocery's bought. Last year I was the one sick with the flu, so I was looking forward to no drama!
Lets just say we weren't expecting what was coming hours after this pic. We actually had a new nurse with Clara that evening. Her normal Thursday night nurse was away with family, and we were so thrilled they had found us someone! Needless to say I don't think she will want to come back after two rounds of throw up, pulling out her trach by accident...then freaking out when she couldn't get the ties off to put it back in, and having to hold her all night.
Jason and I were up to about 2 am changing sheets, washing, helping clean her up. Then finally we hit a wall and decided to let her do her job and we went to bed. Seven o'clock came very early, five hours later. Madeline wanted to get up and check out her "load", and Clara's diarrhea came.
Needless to say..it became lets get through it and let Maddie have her magical morning  I didn't take but a few photos (which are on my camera..haven't uploaded them yet) and not a single video. Not at all, again, as I expected.
Clara actually seemed okay later that day and we drug her around to visit our parents. Being with family always helps, and the day got progressively better.
In the midst of everything out of control, and not as I wanted Christmas happened here. I am glad it did. So many wonderful moments we had, and others not so great. And that's okay.

I did just love our tree. It made it, along with all the other decorations, two days after Christmas day. Jason favorite day in December: the day the decorations get packed up. He was just in the best mood!

The day after Christmas Clara was ready to open some of her gifts.

My favorite 2015 ornament.
